Initial public release - Noemi is out of beta.

Noemi 1.0 is here: the non-deterministic composition machine is out of beta and stable. Standalone app for macOS, Windows, and Linux, plus VST3 / AU / CLAP / LV2 plugins to run it inside your DAW.
Added an in-app update check: Noemi tells you when a new version is available (Help > Check for Updates), downloaded through your Tweakbench account - no auto-update, nothing installed behind your back.
Project files now save canonically: repeated tempo edits no longer bloat the file or shadow the real tempo. Saves are deterministic, and older projects self-repair when opened.
Hardened project loading against files saved by a newer version of Noemi, on both .nmi open and DAW plugin-state restore.
Ableton Link Audio is disabled in 1.0 while the wider ecosystem catches up; plain Ableton Link (tempo + transport sync) is unchanged, and Link Audio projects load as plain Link.

A fully modernized UI - flat, minimal, three themes - plus deep crash and stability hardening

Complete visual redesign: a flat, minimal look with one consistent design language across every editor and panel.
Dark, Light, and High Contrast themes now apply everywhere - every editor, dialog, meter, and scope - including live switching.
Every instrument and effect editor shares one control language: consistent knobs with captions, tooltips on every control, and double-click to reset any knob.
Fixed AUv3 Audio Units being silently skipped by the plugin scanner since beta 3 (macOS), plugin UIs clipped at >100% display scaling (Windows), and X11/scaling issues (Linux).
Fixed hosted instruments coming back silent and third-party patches being lost when reopening a project saved inside a DAW (VST3/AU/CLAP).
Fixed many crashes when editing while playing, a hard audio lock-up on the Slicer, samples playing sharp at mismatched sample rates, and several memory leaks around plugin windows and project teardown.
Hardened saving: a failed save now warns and cancels instead of silently discarding work; corrupt project files no longer crash the app.

Stability + performance hardening, deeper generation, a cleaner UI, and DAW-ready plugin MIDI output

Fixed crashes when adding/deleting nodes during playback, a lock-up on scene changes, and silent channels / missing modulation matrix after reloading a project.
Added a crash reporter, and removed audio-thread allocations from SimSim, Cantia, Leeroy, the mastering chain, and the metronome.
Added MIDI output to the host DAW, a Conductor (generators share one chord progression + energy curve), and drag-out of patterns/audio as MIDI/WAV.
Fixed five Generator controls that had no effect, made Generate Song reproducible from its seed, and fixed user presets applying immediately.
Themed checkboxes/radios, extended undo to the mixer/modulation/mastering, and added a count-in toggle and Generator Randomize button.
Linux release builds now run in an Ubuntu 22.04 container (glibc 2.35 floor; Ubuntu 22.04+, Debian 12+, Fedora 37+) with statically linked libstdc++/libgcc.

MIDI input recording (FL Studio style) with a 4-beat count-in, and a new metronome with an accented downbeat.
Fixed all LV2 plugins failing to scan on Windows.
Upgraded to JUCE 8.0.13: faster macOS redraws, Direct2D plugin-window resize + hi-DPI fixes on Windows, better Apple Pencil hover on iPad, more reliable MIDI output.
Fixed a crash during scene crossfades and an audio blip after Stop; panic now also stops the transport.
Desktop installers: macOS ships a signed, notarized .pkg and Windows ships a setup installer bundling the VC++ runtime.

Modulation matrix + module inspector UI overhaul, replace node, AU scanner crash protection, modulation perf fix, and Ableton Link Audio

Ableton Link Audio: publish Noemi's post-mastering mix to Link Audio peers and subscribe to peer channels.
Modulation now only touches parameters with active routes, avoiding huge per-tick scans on plugins with thousands of parameters.
AU plugins scan out-of-process, so a crashing AU takes down the scanner child instead of Noemi.
Modulation matrix + module inspectors rebuilt with visual source cards, draggable ADSR editors, compact rotary knobs, and shorter layouts.
Right-click any node -> Replace with... to swap it while preserving connections and position.
