Terms of Service

Last updated: July 27, 2026

These terms cover your use of tweakbench.com and the software you buy or download from it. Buying or downloading anything from Tweakbench means you agree to them. If you don't, please don't use the site or the software.

What you're buying

Tweakbench sells audio plugins and music software as digital downloads. There is no physical product and no subscription. A purchase gives you the software as it exists at the time of purchase, plus free updates to that product for as long as we keep publishing them.

Your license

You may install and use the software on as many machines as you own, for personal or commercial music production, forever. There is no DRM, no license key, and no activation server. Music you make with our software is entirely yours - we claim no rights to your output and you owe us nothing for it.

We also don't mind you passing a copy to a friend. What we ask is that you don't sell it, don't repackage it as your own product, and don't redistribute it as part of a commercial bundle. The software itself stays our copyright.

Payment and pricing

Payments are processed by Stripe. We never see or store your full card details. Prices are listed in US dollars; if you're buying from the Eurozone or certain other regions, Stripe may present and charge the price in your local currency. Your bank's conversion rate and any foreign-transaction fee are between you and your bank.

We may change prices or run sales at any time. A price change never applies retroactively to a purchase you already made.

Refunds

We handle refunds case by case, and we're reasonable about it. If something doesn't work, isn't what you expected, or you bought the wrong thing, email support@tweakbench.com and tell us what happened. We'd rather fix the problem or give your money back than have you stuck with something you can't use.

Because the software is DRM-free, we do ask that you delete your copies if you take a refund. Nothing here limits any statutory refund or cancellation right you have under the consumer law of your own country.

Downloads and your account

After you buy, download links are emailed to you and are also available from your account page. Keep your own backups - we intend to keep downloads available indefinitely, but we can't promise a specific product will be hosted forever.

You're responsible for what happens under your account. If you think someone else has access to it, let us know.

Acceptable use

Don't try to break into, overload, or scrape the site, and don't use it to distribute malware or infringe anyone's rights. We may suspend access if you do.

Warranty and liability

The software is provided “as is.” We test it, but we can't guarantee it will be free of bugs or that it will work in every host, on every system, or for every purpose. To the fullest extent the law allows, Tweakbench isn't liable for indirect or consequential losses - lost work, lost time, lost sessions. Where we are liable, our total liability is limited to what you paid for the product in question.

Some jurisdictions don't allow these limitations, in which case they simply don't apply to you.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the store changes. The “last updated” date above always reflects the current version. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of California, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located in California. If you're a consumer outside the USA, this doesn't deprive you of the protection of the mandatory consumer law of the country where you live.
